Business Development Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Engineer to focus on the sales of SolidWorks mechanical design software. In this role, you will leverage your technical and sales expertise to drive new business, manage client relationships, and ensure successful implementation of our solutions.

Responsible For
- Sales and Business Development: Actively sell SolidWorks mechanical design software to new and existing customers. Drive sales activities, including cold calling, prospecting, and qualifying leads to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with engineers to demonstrate SolidWorks solutions that meet client needs. Conduct consultative meetings with both technical and management-level stakeholders to understand their current processes and identify potential improvements.
- Lead Generation: Generate new business opportunities through field visits, networking, and leveraging industry contacts. Expand the customer base and explore opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
- Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute sales strategies and objectives. Manage the sales aspects of the assigned territory, including accurate forecasting and reporting. Ensure a coordinated effort to drive client success and ongoing sales opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new prospects and existing clients. Actively seek additional opportunities within customer accounts and work collaboratively with the technical team, inside sales, and marketing departments to win new business.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain high business ethics with timely reporting and proper documentation. Provide detailed and accurate monthly forecasts and sales reports to management.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with technical support teams to conduct technical demonstrations, address client queries, and facilitate successful order closing. Ensure seamless collaboration between inside sales, marketing, and technical teams.
- Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue and unit sales goals. Demonstrate a go-getter attitude, strong communication, and presentation skills to drive success.
